In a weaving of personal memories of grief and visions for potential futures, transmedia artist Sinjin Jones explores how our choices now may impact the history of the future.
I am a storyteller, a transmedia artist, and a queer, black arts leader.
SSinjin Jones (he/him) is a director, arts administrator, and educator who creates at the intersection of theatre, film, prose, poetry, visual, and immersive art. Driven by the belief that storytelling is the essential connective tissue of human experience, his work is focused on building bridges between people, disciplines, and communities. He currently serves as the Director of Programs for SVCREATES, where he facilitates grant programming and professional development opportunities for artists across Santa Clara County. Prior to this,he was the Executive Artistic Director of The Pear Theatre in Mountain View,CA, where he directed over 15 productions and produced dozens more, earninga reputation as a champion for artistic quality, theatrical experimentation, andartist well-being.
His extensive directing credits include theatrical and immersive productions such as Once on this Island, Pass Over, and The Mountaintop at The Pear, as well as an immersive version of The Little Prince and an immersive magic show called House of Mystery. In film and transmedia, his work includes the visual poetry album winter & woe, and the feature film Sun, Moon, Stars, Rain. As along-time arts educator, he has developed and led arts programs for students of all ages, from elementary school to college, and has served as a consultant for numerous arts organizations throughout the Bay Area. His work has been recognized with a Tony's Educator Award honorable mention and the Chancellor's Award for Excellence from the University of Colorado Denver.

SVCREATES
Beginning in April 2025, I joined SVCREATES as the Director of Programs. I am honored to oversee our grantmaking and our ArtsWeb Workshop programming our effort to support the arts ecosystem of Santa Clara County.
The Pear Theatre
I ended my tenure as Executive Artistic Director of The Pear Theatre in January 2025 passing on a reputation of powerful artistic quality, meaningful theatrical experimentation, and a legacy of supporting artist well-being. I directed over 15 productions during my tenure and produced, designed, and/or performed in dozens more. I’m thankful for my time at The Pear and continue to support them!
Foundry of Aether
